lady of shallot patience and caring

To start with this poem is a lyrical ballad written by the english poet Alfred lord tennyson. In this essay i am going to talk about how are the values patience and caring related to the poem called the lady of shallot, but first i am going to define the values patience and caring. Caring is displaying kindness and concern for others and patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, problems, or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. In this poem the only way to find the values caring and patience is through the characters of the poem . The relation between the values and the poem is only related to the lady of shallot because she was the only one that suffered everything because she had a curse that if she leaves the tower where she is trapped and he can’t do anything because she dies. The story basically talks about a very brave woman who is able to give everything for the love of her life and she is forced weave all the time and if she stops she dies. she had to look outside the world through a ball because the curse that she has kills her if she goes outside sometimes when she was walking around she would sings songs to not loose patience that how the people knew about her because the could hear her singing . In the story I could see the value of patience as I read the story that the lady of shallot is very patient because knowing that the love of her life is outside she is willing to wait for him and stay up there so she won’t die and she would talk about the amazing things that are outside the world and how it will be if she didn’t have that curse. The lady of shallot was in love with a knight called sir Lancelot but he wasn’t in love with her and this make her brake the curse and she got out of the castle and went in a boat to Camelot and she started dying but this didn’t stopped and she kept fighting, but before she could get there she died. This shows the value of caring because in the way she sacrifices her life for him it shows how much she cared about him but he never loved her the only time he admired her beauty is when she was dead another example of caring is the part where sir Lancelot finds her and he asks himself where she came from. I feel that the message that the author is trying to give is that love can be very powerful, but in my opinion I think that she was very dumb to go out of the castle and die for a person didn’t even cared about her and didn’t even know her. This story teach us that we should be patient because being patient can helps us avoid bad things to happen for example in the story that the woman got out of the tower because she wanted to see the person that she fall in love with and she died in the attempt to see him so if never got out of the tower she would be alive.
